We are proud to be a 100% Peruvian company , Local Tour Operator in Cusco the heart of the Inca Empire, Alberto Alonso Valderrama Sandoval, the owner of Local Trekkers Peru, had the great privilege since childhood to grow up knowing the Culture and Customs of the Andes and the Peruvian Amazon, was raised speaking Quechua native language of the Incas and Shipibo one of the dialects of the Peruvian jungle, since he is the son of Cusqueño and Loretana parents, passionate and interested in the beauty and spirituality of the Andes, he enrolled in the university in Cusco studying Tourism and English which allowed him to expand his knowledge. When he graduated from the University, he worked for a time in a local business office and finally he became a tour guide. Deep inside his heart he wanted to know also the culture of the Amazon, entering the University of Iquitos studying the career of Rain Forest Ecology. He served as a guide to the ancestral culture of Ayahuasca, myths legend of the Peruvian Amazon, flora and fauna, was a volunteer of NGOs, which allowed him to win a scholarship to Quebec City – Canada to share his knowledge and experience of the Andes and the Peruvian Amazon, before traveling, he enrolled in the French Alliance to learn French, gaining so much experience and of course he speaks fluent Spanish, Quechua, English and French. When he returned to Cusco, he realized that most of the companies are focused on money and less on people, creating Local Trekkers Peru, providing a good treatment and quality of life to his team, employing men and women from the Andes and from the Amazon.
