LAMAS NATIVA Y CASTILLO DE LAMAS MEDIO DÍA

This day we will visit Lamas, considered the folkloric capital of San Martin, a very colorful city near Tarapoto and has a rich history where the traditions of the ancient Chancas are fused together with the customs brought by the Spanish. It is located between 710 and 950 meters above sea level, Lamas is also considered The City of the Three Floors for its three natural levels, where nature and culture intertwine.

LAMAS NATIVE AND CASTLE OF LAMAS HALF DAY

We will pick you up from your hotel from 3:00 pm to 3:50 pm approx. to start this excursion through the city of Lamas, located a few minutes from the city of Tarapoto. Our first point of visit will be the Plaza de Armas de Lamas. Then we will go to the Ethnographic Museum of Lamas, an optional activity and the entrance fees is included in this tour, we will learn about the history and customs of the Chancas and the Lamistas. Later we will go to the highest part of the city: the viewpoint of La Cruz where we will appreciate the great valley, which is the road to the Altomayo area. We will also visit the Castle of Rocks (Lamas), a dreamy medieval construction in the middle of the jungle from where we will appreciate Lamas in all its splendor. And finally, we will get to know the culture of the Wayku native community, who will instruct us about the benefits of their products such as the blood of the degree, the Copaiba, the Sacha inchi, among others. We will return to Tarapoto 7:00 pm approx.
