Local Trekkers Peru will provide you with the highest quality service throughout your journey in the Andes. We run our trips much different than other operators in that we run private trips and very small Grupos limiting them to a max of 7 guests to maximize the experience, and give you the full attention of our guides and staff. (Single trekker and large Grupos welcome, please inquire). Our chef can cater to any dietary needs and will always prepare a delicious spread of local Peruvian style foods for you to enjoy while on our treks. We celebrate special occasions, and work hard to make every trek memorable. Our staff is available to answer any questions in full detail and make sure your booking process goes smoothly and efficiently. Local Trekkers Peru is dedicated to helping the local communities and employs Peruvian guides, staff and crew. Through our treks we have employed over 80 locals and continue to help local villages grow through tourism.

As you embark on a trip of a lifetime, make sure you are fully prepared. Our treks are challenging and very rewarding at the same time. Hikers should be reasonably fit and healthy. Remember you are trekking at a high elevation (above 14,000ft) and you should be rested up to start this journey. We highly recommend spending at least two to three days in Cusco or similar elevation to acclimatize, and drink plenty of water the days prior to the hike. Please consult your doctor for proper advice on trekking in high altitude.

The mountains of Peru will leave you with an unforgettable experience, as you are lead into the Peruvian Andes by your local guide. During this trip you will enjoy an amazing night amongst some of the brightest stars you will ever see and a milky way so colorful it will leave you stunned. Our new route will truly take you off the beaten track; an adventure that will take your breath away constantly. With a combination of wild desert landscapes, glaciated peaks, rushing rivers and challenging mountain passes, everything seeming untouched and undiscovered.
